Skeleton Keyframe Virtual Animation Festival kicks off its Second Season
Back in 2021, I kicked off the inaugural season for my Skeleton Keyframe virtual animation festival. During that season’s abbreviated submission period, I was thrilled to receive a bunch of really incredible animated short films to promote on the new platform and to consider for awards. The 1st Annual Skeleton Keyframe Animation Awards streamed live on YouTube on April 17th, 2022 – showcasing and celebrating the many films I received.
Now, I’m excited to be launching the Skeleton Keyframe 2023 season with film submissions opening on March 13th, 2023! To grow the festival and really get it on the radar for independent animators, I’ve decided to offer free submissions through this entire season – meaning no fees for animators to submit their films for promotion and award consideration. I’m really hoping I can attract at least 50 film submissions by the end of the year to really get the YouTube channel flooded with original animated films as well as to get a good competition going for the award show which is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, February 25th, 2024.
