Skeleton Keyframe is Scheduled to Launch on September 1st, 2021
I am honestly so excited to formally announce today that my new Faot Media Group, Skeleton Keyframe, is set to launch on September 1st, 2021. So what is Skeleton Keyframe? Put simply, the project is a YouTube channel and virtual film festival focused on promoting independent animation of all styles. Whether it’s stop motion animation (think The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, etc.), traditional 2D hand drawn animation (think Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Popeye the Sailor Man, etc.), or 3D computer animation (think Toy Story, Shrek, etc.), Skeleton Keyframe aims to promote and appreciate ALL of it!
Of course, the emphasis with this project – as is the case with all of my Faot Media Groups – is the promotion of independent creative works. The goal is to do 2 things – create a channel where animation enthusiasts can enjoy unique, independent content they may have never found otherwise and to create a platform that is rewarding for independent animators to be a part of. These two objectives kind of go hand in hand. If animators feel the platform is rewarding, they are more likely to provide it with their content. If animators provide more content for the platform, it increases the channel’s catalog of quality animated content for viewers.
Behind the scenes of the channel, Skeleton Keyframe will also host a virtual film festival. Not all submissions made to Skeleton Keyframe will make it to the YouTube channel. Only the best will receive that honor, and those that do will also be up for award consideration come the end of the submission season (February aka award season). Winning films will receive special, one-of-a-kind awards reflecting their achievements.
Animation has long been a love of mine. I’ve loved stop motion animation especially for as long as I can remember such as the works of Tim Burton. I remember taking an introduction to Flash animation course at the GoggleWorks in Reading, PA as a child as well and it was genuinely life changing. I’m sure my love for animation goes back way beyond that, but I’ve had an absolute affinity for animation of all styles ever since then for sure. With all that said, I feel like it only makes sense that a project like Skeleton Keyframe be my next venture.

So just for fun, enjoy below my favorite of my early animations and have a good laugh at my expense. This is my old YouTube channel, PARALLELxPICTURES, where I uploaded all of my short films I produced and directed as a child. Somehow, it is still live on YouTube for all to…. enjoy? Not sure if that’s the appropriate word. Experience, perhaps, fits better. As not all experiences are positive haha.
