Gone Postal Records to Begin Focusing More on Charity in 2020
As 2020 gets started, I’m preparing my electronic music label, Gone Postal Records, for the new year. One of my main focuses with the label in 2020 is to maintain the large amount of new music being promoted by deserving, talented producers from around the world – but to also focus on charitable efforts. In the past, GPR has released charity compilation albums but never to the scale of what 2020 has in store.
Gone Postal Records will continue its regular promotional services – including #TuneCrushTuesday social posts and our weekly online radio show, the Pretty Gritty Podcast. Distribution services, however, will be limited to releases from artists signed to the label’s main roster. With that said, artists are still welcome to submit their demo submissions for distribution as part of GPR’s new quarterly charity compilation albums. Each charity album will be raising money for a respective non-profit organization – with 100% of proceeds being donated as well as via an official donation page.
The label will also draw from artists featured on these charity albums when seeking new artists to sign to the main roster. New music will still release every Friday, 1 pretty track and 1 gritty track from the upcoming charity album, exclusively on the Gone Postal Records official YouTube channel. This music will not be released, however, across all digital music platforms until the charity compilation album drops at the end of the quarter. 2020’s first charity compilation album will be announced very soon.
